Mònica Aguilera Delgado is an adjunct lecturer and a researcher based at School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (ETSEA) of the University of Lleida. Her research area is plant ecophysiology and the use of stable isotopes in ecology and environmental science. Her main interest has focused on the application of stable isotopes for physiology characterization of different species (forest and crop species). She obtained her PhD in Mediterranean Biology from University of Barcelona with a thesis focus on the use of stable isotopes for paleoreconstruction of climate and agricultural conditions of mediterranean archaeological sites using archaeobotanical remains (seeds and charcoals). In 2014, she obtained a postdoctoral contract to work on Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle à Paris. She has participated in numerous research projects and collaborated with multidisciplinary scientific teams. Her research has been published in international journals, as well in book chapters and edited volumes, and her scientific contributions have been presented in several national and international scientific conferences.
