David Quixal Santos is currently Assistant Professor at the Deparment of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History of the University of Valencia. He obtained his PhD at the same university in 2013. He has developed different research stays at American and British universities during his predoctoral (Arizona State University, University of Southampton and University of Glasgow) and postdoctoral (Brown University) periods. His line of research is focused on the Iberian Iron Age and the Landscape Archaeology. He is currently directing the archaeological excavations in the Iberian hillfort of Pico de los Ajos (Yátova, Valencia). In the FRUITCOM project he is working through GIS on the assessment of the agricultural potential of the different sites and territories.
